About Me
Hello, my name is Nick Lagattuta. I have over 6 years experience in IT, including 4 years as a Server Administrator for Server Intellect and Singlehop, and over 2 years as a Cloud Install Engineer at INAP.
I work daily provisioning private cloud environments in VMware and disaster recovery infrastructure using Zerto. I have a great wealth of knowledge and experience in Windows Server operating systems, and some basic experience with Linux.
I am also a certified AWS Syops Administrator and AWS Solutions Architect Associate. I have some basic experience working personally with AWS (i.e. this resume is hosted serverless in my own AWS account in an S3 Bucket) and am eager to dive in deeper and work with it more.
Experience
Cloud Install Engineers at INAP work with initial intake of new private cloud clients. We deploy and provision Vcenter and ESXI nodes for Virtual Private Clouds and Dedicated Private Clouds. We also set up Disaster Recovery Infrastructure for our clients with Zerto.
System administors were the front line phone and email support handling OS Level server issues for clients with both bare metal servers and virtual servers. We also assisted with hosted email, hosted DNS, hosted databases, etc. Note: Singlehop was later acquired by INAP.
Server Administrators handled Windows Server administration for clients. Note: Server Intellect was later acquired by Singlehop (who was acquired by INAP).

My college career most helped me polish my math and english skills, deduce scenarios scientifically, and to apply reason and logic to any situation. While I ultimately didn’t end up pursuing a career in my major, I’ve found the knowledge I acquired during my studies to be incredibly valuable to my personal and professional life. My understanding of human psychology has left me better able to handle personal and professional relationships, and has given me an edge in customer service interactions.
